Waitress
As a Waitress at Squires Gastro Pub, you will be the face of our establishment, providing top-notch service to our guests. Your main responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience. We are looking for someone with a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude. Ensure that all guests feel comfortable and attended to throughout their visit. Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders, provide menu recommendations, and answer any questions regarding menu items. Service Delivery: Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring that all orders are delivered as requested and at the right temperature. Customer Experience: Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, handle any complaints or special requests, and create a positive dining atmosphere. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure efficient service and smooth operations. Cleanliness & Presentation: Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service areas, and the dining room. Ensure that the dining area is visually appealing. Sales & Upselling: Promote daily specials, seasonal offerings, and suggest pairings to enhance the guest experience and boost sales. Cash Handling: Process payments accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and providing change. Qualifications: Previous experience as a waitress or in a customer-facing role is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and a passion for providing excellent service. Knowledge of food and beverage, including wine and cocktails, is an advantage.
Mixologist
As a Mixologist at Squires, you will be responsible for crafting innovative and classic cocktails that elevate the guest experience. You will combine your knowledge of mixology with creativity and flair to create drinks that not only taste amazing but also look impressive. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the art of bartending and has the skills to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Craftsmanship: Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails, classic drinks, and mocktails with precision and artistry. Menu Development: Collaborate with the management team to develop and update the cocktail menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends. Customer Interaction: Engage with guests to understand their preferences, make recommendations, and create personalized drinks to enhance their experience. Quality Control: Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all beverages served. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Bar Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area. Ensure all equipment is in working order and comply with health and safety regulations. Upselling: Promote daily specials, premium brands, and unique offerings to boost sales and enhance the guest experience. Team Collaboration: Work closely with waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service. Assist in training and mentoring junior bartenders or barbacks. Customer Experience: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, or special requests professionally and courteously. Event Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of special events, themed nights, or private parties by creating custom drink menus or performing mixology demonstrations. Qualifications: Proven experience as a mixologist or bartender in a high-end bar or restaurant. Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and bar equipment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and entertain guests. Creativity and passion for mixology, with the ability to experiment with flavors and presentation. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Certification in bartending or mixology is an advantage.
Line Cook
As a Line Cook at Squires Gastro Pub, you will be a key player in the kitchen, responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cooking, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients and cook menu items following established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Assist with prep work as needed for various stations. Cooking: Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops to cook a variety of dishes including appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the correct temperature, flavor, and appearance before they are served. Maintain consistency and quality across all plates. Station Management: Maintain a clean and organized station, ensuring all food items are stored properly, labeled, and rotated as per food safety guidelines. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other line cooks, prep cooks, and the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Communicate effectively to ensure timely and efficient service. Inventory & Stock: Monitor and manage inventory levels for your station, reporting any shortages or needs to the Head Chef. Assist with ordering and receiving supplies as needed. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Ensure your station is clean and sanitized at all times. Problem-Solving: Address any kitchen issues or challenges that arise during service, such as equipment malfunctions or special dietary requests, in a calm and effective manner. Learning & Development: Stay updated on new cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen trends. Participate in training and development opportunities offered by the restaurant. Qualifications: Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant or hotel kitchen. Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality food. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed. Culinary school training or certification is an advantage but not required.
Breakfast Cook
As a Breakfast Cook at Squires, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes with precision and care. You will work early morning shifts to ensure that breakfast service is timely and meets our high standards of quality. We are seeking someone with a passion for breakfast cuisine, strong time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a wide range of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, pastries, and other breakfast dishes according to standardized recipes. Service Readiness: Ensure all stations are set up and fully stocked before breakfast service begins. Prepare ingredients and mise en place to ensure smooth and efficient service. Cooking: Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, griddles, ovens, and fryers to cook breakfast items to order. Pay close attention to cooking times and temperatures to ensure dishes are cooked perfectly. Quality Control: Maintain consistency in taste, appearance, and portion sizes of all breakfast items. Ensure that dishes are plated attractively and served at the correct temperature. Cleanliness & Organization: Keep your work area clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift. Follow all food safety and hygiene practices. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels for breakfast ingredients, and communicate with the kitchen manager or head chef regarding restocking needs. Time Management: Work efficiently to ensure that breakfast service runs smoothly and that guests receive their meals promptly, even during busy periods. Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with guests during special breakfast events or buffets, providing information about menu items and ensuring guest satisfaction. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service. Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, including prep work for the lunch menu. Qualifications: Proven experience as a breakfast cook or in a similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or café. Strong knowledge of breakfast cuisine, cooking methods, and equipment.
